Makes 10 Servings - Prep Time: 4 weeks

Bringing Italy straight to you

This chilled after-dinner digestivo is worth the 4-week wait. Serve it at your next dinner party or bottle it up as individual holiday gifts. Either way, it’s minimal effort to create something impressive and unique!

Ingredients

15 organic lemons, scrubbed and peeled
750 mL bottle vodka (Smirnoff or Ketel One)
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 1/2 cups water

Directions

  1. Add the peels from 15 lemons to an airtight container. Pour vodka over the peels then cover and let them sit in a cool dark spot for 4 weeks.

  2. After 1 month, dissolve sugar in water in a small pot over medium heat. Cool the simple syrup before adding it to the infused vodka.

  3. Mix the simple syrup and infused vodka then carefully strain. Pour the strained limoncello into a bottle or jar of your choosing.

  4. Enjoy chilled in the fridge for up to 3 months or in the freezer for up to 12 months. Cheers!

Note: replace lemons with oranges to make it Arancello.
