Whipped Orange Thyme Goat Cheese Persimmon Crostini

Serves 6 - Prep Time: 10 minutes - Cook Time: 10 minutes

There’s no party like a crostini party

Tiny golden toasts topped with seasonal ingredients truly elevate a party, in my opinion. These satisfy a sweet, creamy, and savory craving all in one bite. Now that’s worth celebrating.

Whipped Goat Cheese

6 oz cream cheese, softened
8 oz goat cheese, softened
2 tbsp olive oil
1 orange, juice and zest
1 tbsp thyme
1 tbsp honey
Salt and pepper to taste

Crostini

1 sourdough baguette, sliced
3 tbsp olive oil

1 persimmon, thinly sliced and halved
2 oz prosciutto slices
6 thyme sprigs
1 tbsp honey

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. Brush baguette slices with olive oil, sprinkle with salt, and bake until golden (about 8-10 minutes).

  3. In a food processor, whip goat cheese ingredients together until smooth.

  4. Pipe whipped goat cheese on to each crostini then top with 1 persimmon half, ripped prosciutto, a drizzle of honey, and thyme sprigs.

Note: Getting ahead? Prep everything the day before (bake bread, whip goat cheese mixture, slice garnishes) then assemble day of.
